New Jersey political mail rules for 2027. All 120 legislative seats are on the ballot.
On 2 November 2027 New Jersey elects all 40 state senators and all 80 members of the General Assembly. Its disclosure rule asks for more than a name: every communication has to say who paid, give their address as filed with the Election Law Enforcement Commission, and say that they financed it.

Three things on every New Jersey mailer.
The name
The committee, group or person that paid, named clearly.
The address
Their business or residence address exactly as it appears on their ELEC reports, so a voter can match the piece to a filing.
The financing statement
A statement that the communication was financed by them. Ballot-question mail follows the same rule.

The filing, one tap away
New Jersey already ties every mailer to an ELEC filing. A tap shows that filing's name and address beside the piece, so a voter does not have to look it up.
Look-alikes stand out
A piece using a committee's name without its chip does not show as verified, and the voter can report it from the same screen.
Counts, not voters
Tap data is counts by day and by ZIP code. No names, no matching to voter files, no sale of data.

Verified Mailer
A chip in campaign mail that shows, on a tap, who really sent it.
